Football statistics are probably what the famous quote “Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics” was meant for, but sometimes it’s worth checking to ensure that your ‘gut feeling’ is in fact correct.

The site / software I find myself using the most (although I did only discover it late in the 2011 / 12 season) is provided by Soccer Stats Tracker. The software downloads on to your desktop and can give you all manner of information and historic statistics on football leagues / teams worldwide.

Soccer stats tracker is (surprisingly) free and will assist you in obtaining statistics on most Football leagues worldwide.

The football statistics software is manually updated several times per week, so I imagine that the information comes from a variety of football statistic hubs and then collated in one handy to use piece of software.

For me I use it when deciding on whether to back a ‘draw’ on teams that provide the best ‘value’ in the daily in-play football coupon list.
